We love living, working, and playing in the Comox Valley with our young family - and are excited to bring fresh energy to the decades of gardening experience Lavenders Blue has in the valley.
With a growing team including multiple crews of experienced gardeners, and a deep network of horticultural experts we focus on our core tenants of professional, quality, and reliable gardening services for our clients. The core tenants of permaculture - care of the earth, care of people, share the surplus - also help to guide our business.
We also aim to be a fair and equitable employer; we are always looking for ways to invest in our employees utilizing a more sustainable, democratic business model. Sara Klimes
BA, MA, Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC)
General Manager
Raised on Vancouver Island, Sara combines a deep understanding of the local climate and growing conditions with her gardening experience. Her certification and specialization in permaculture provides opportunities for unique, sustainable and beautiful garden designs.
Matt Stambaugh
BA, MGIS
Office Manager
Matt's leverages his background in entrepreneurship and business management to support our focus on positive relationships with our clients, employees, and partners. He also enjoys getting out of the office to garden when possible, especially for some Zen cedar hedge trimming.
We recognize the privilege of gardening on the traditional, unceded lands of the Komox First Nations, the original stewards of this incredible land.
