As we head into Fall, it’s time to think about garden layout. You should only transplant shrubs in Autumn once the leaves have turned and the plant is entering its dormant stage. Perennials that bloom in the Spring should be split and transplanted in the Fall, approximately every three years. Take time to notice the plants that are not ideally situated. Is there a more optimal location within your garden? Planning changes to your garden design will help streamline your Fall cleanup.
